Makes 3 cups/serves 2-3


  • In a medium saucepan, boil whole orange for 30 minutes. Transfer to cutting board (carefully!) and cut into 6-8 pieces. Remove any seeds. Let cool in freezer (or make ahead and freeze completely). Add to a blender with the water, then top with the yogurt andMVL. Blend until smooth.

  • 6 oz of frozen orange concentrate can be substituted for the boiled orange. Or, substitute a grapefruit for something more tart.

  • Tip: Boil a few oranges at the same time. Chop each orange and freeze as a separate serving. Use frozen servings in smoothies. Or, defrost and use in Citrus Wave Cake.
